What is your company's basic management policy?
A

Mitsui DM Sugar Holdings Group's basic management policy is to satisfy all stakeholders by "Always caring for them while changing the form of such care as needed and offering greater moments of happiness" as set forth in the corporate philosophy statement and by continuing to deliver increased corporate value.

What is your company's basic policy on profit distribution?
A

We have positioned the return of profits to our shareholders as one of the most important management issues, and its basic policy will be to pay stable and continuous dividends while taking into account the need to enhance retained earnings to support future business growth and reinforce the business base. In addition, provided the consolidated dividend payout ratio does not exceed 100%, the minimum full-year dividend will be set at 60 yen per share, and using a combination of cash dividends and a flexible capital policy, the Company will target a total shareholder return ratio of 50% while also comprehensively considering current business conditions.

I found a dividend receipt from two years ago. Can I still receive the dividend?
A

Please contact Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. As provided for in the Articles of Incorporation, the Company is unable to pay any dividend for which three years have passed since the payment start date, so you should apply to receive the dividend at the earliest opportunity.

I own shares in an amount that is less than one board lot. Can I sell them or buy more shares?
A

For selling shares in an amount that is less than one board lot or for buying more shares, please make a request to the securities company that you have an account with. Regarding shares recorded in a special account, please inquire with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, the special account manager.

Do you have a shareholder incentives package?
A

We have a shareholder incentive program in place as a means of expressing gratitude to its shareholders for their continued support and for the purpose of having more shareholders hold a greater number of shares in the Company for the medium- to long-term by better understanding the Group's products and making it more attractive to invest in such shares. Shareholders may choose to make a donation to a social contribution organization instead of receiving products from the Company as an incentive.

Do you pay an interim dividend?
A

We pay an interim dividend with September 30 of each year as the record date and a date in early December of the same year as the effective date (payment start date). For the interim dividend schedule for the current fiscal year, check the Summary of Consolidated Financial Results.

Our insider trading regulations prohibit executives from buying shares in the Company at any time without restriction. Full-time executives continue to buy shares in fixed amounts monthly by using a stock cumulative investment scheme.
